Davide Gozzini vince anche il Campionato della Nuova Zelanda

Sensazione vittoria all’italiana di Davide "Gozzo" Gozzini che sale per l’occasione su una TMSMX450F e scrive il suo nome nei libri di storia del famoso Wanganui Cemetery Circuit. Un evento prestigioso che ha avuto il suo debutto nel 1951 e quest'anno diventa, grazie alla presenza di Gozzini, l'evento gioiello del Suzuki International tri-Series.

Davide Gozzini, per questa occasione sotto i colori del Distributore TM della Nuova Zelanda Motoworks, e il suo connazionale Ivan Lazzarini hanno stordito la folla del Wanganui in modo massiccio, con una dimostrazione di abilità di guida mai visto prima al "Cemetery". Il Gozzo in grande forma ha dominato tutti gli eventi guadagnandosi il titolo di “Speedy Gozzini” dai tifosi della Nuova Zelanda.

Inizialmente riferito dai media locali in sella alla sua Factory TM SMX660FTM SMX450F standard equipaggiata con le sole sospensioni personali. Questo fatto ha piacevolmente sorpreso i tifosi quando si è venuto a sapere cheGozzini ha fatto il suo record sul giro a meno di .900’ di secondo dai migliori tempi sul giro fissati dai 1000cc Superbike ! Il simpatico italiano cresce di popolarità tra i suoi fans di tutto il mondo grazie anche ai tre titoli Nazionali vinti nel 2009: Italia, Australia e Nuova Zelanda.

Il Team Motoworks è impaziente di difendere il titolo nel 2010 magari anche con l'introduzione di un ulteriore membro del team TM.

Gozzini adesso si concede una breve e meritata vacanza prima dell’inizio dei test di preparazione per il suo assalto al Campionato del Mondo 2010 Supermoto S1 a bordo della nuova TM SMX450Fi ufficiale.

Davide Gozzini wins also the New Zealand championship

Italian sensation, Davide “Gozzo” Gozzini mounted on a TM SMX450F writes himself into the history books at the famous Wanganui Cemetery Circuit. A prestigious event first run in 1951 and this year forming the jewel event in the Suzuki International Tri Series.

Motoworks rider Gozzini and his fellow countryman Ivan Lazzarini stunned a massive Wanganui crowd with a display of riding skill not seen before at the “Cemetery”, an on form Gozzo dominating both the Tri series events and clean sweeping the Wanganui races and earning the title of Speedy Gozzini with the New Zealand fans.

Initially reported by local media as riding his Factory Motoworks TM SMX660FTM SMX450F fitted with his personal suspension, this fact stunning the fans further as they came to realize that Gozzini was posting lap records less than .900th’ of a second of the lap times being set by the 1000cc Superbikes, these bikes being over twice the capacity of the “little” TM rocket!! The likeable Italian building on his growing fan base with three Nation titles to his credit from Italy, Australia and New Zealand. Davide’s New Zealand based Motoworks Team is looking forward to defending their titles in 2010 along with introducing a further team member.

Gozzini now has a short lay-off before testing starts in preparation for his assault on the 2010 World Supermoto S1 Championship aboard a factory TM SMX450Fi.
